The Organization as a Production Company Corporation
There are three levels of production. We use our leverage as a 501c3 tax exempt production company. We support all filmmakers in our community while we create important motion pictures for all. We operate as OUT PROUD FILMS.
Level Three is the stage where we earn our non-profit status as we create content to benefit to the LGBTQ community. At this level, we produce award winning short films, videos, documentaries and PSA’s for other non-profit organizations in the LGBTQ community. We do this as volunteers.
At Level Two, we concentrate on training, promoting, and funding our rising stars in the LGBTQ+ spectrum with marketplace quality Music Videos, Corporate Training Videos, Social Media promotions and Television Commercials. We will charge a fee and most positions in this division are paid. We can utilize trainees and other discounts to offer below market rates for LGBTQ owned businesses yet deliver a superior product.
Level One is where each of our dream projects has a shot at getting made. Feature length Narrative or Documentary that tell the LGBTQ+ stories, promote LGBTQ+ characters in TV and Film, and promote our Directors, writers, composers, actors and all the creators who make movies work. Most positions in this division are fully paid contracted obligations or employee positions. These Feature Films can be of any genre if they meet the criteria of the BY LAWS which state broadly:
1. The relief of the poor or underprivileged in the LGBTQ+ community.
2. The advancement of education or science with regards to understanding the LGBTQ+ people.
3. The elimination of prejudice and discrimination against all LGBTQ+ persons.
4. The defense of human and civil rights for LGBTQ+ people locally and across the globe.
5. The strengthening of the bonds of the LGBTQ+ community.
Any good screenwriter can tell you that all good films have a principled theme or moral argument threaded throughout. So don’t think this means your film has to be LGBTQ+ preachy, stereotype Gay love story or have a high moral lesson for humanity.
This entry level is good for Film Students, Acting Students, or members of the community that want to learn about the Film Industry. They may work on projects as PA’s, Actors, Extras, and may advance through the ranks.
